Cookie policy

This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies are used on the Mediterráneo Suites website and how users can manage them.

This website does not currently install first-party analytics or advertising cookies, nor does it load Google Analytics, Meta/Facebook Pixel, DoubleClick or Google Marketing Platform. It does use first-party local storage to remember consent preferences, temporary dismissal of informational notices and external services that may use their own cookies or similar technologies when their functionality is loaded.

Under Spanish Law 34/2002 of 11 July on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI), in relation to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD), non-necessary cookies require the user's prior consent.

A cookie is a small file that a website may store in the user's browser to remember browsing information, preferences or data needed to provide a service.

There are also similar technologies, such as browser local storage (localStorage), pixels, identifiers or embedded third-party resources. This policy explains them together when they may affect user privacy.

• Consent preferences (first-party): stored in localStorage under the key ms-cookie-consent. Purpose: remembering whether the user has accepted, rejected or configured preferences. Type: technical/necessary. Duration: until the user deletes browser data or until the consent version is updated.
• Pre-booking notice dismissal (first-party): stored in localStorage under the key ms-booking-popup-dismissed-at. Purpose: remembering that the user has closed the notice so it is not shown again for a while. Type: technical/preference. Duration: 24 hours.
• Google Fonts: the site loads fonts from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Mediterráneo Suites does not install first-party cookies for this use; Google may process technical data, such as IP address or browser information, to serve the resources.
• Google Maps and Street View: the site includes embedded maps and virtual tour content. Maps are loaded from Google domains when the user accepts external services or clicks the button to load the map. The virtual tour is loaded when the user expressly opens it. Google may install cookies or use similar technologies according to its own policies.

The technologies used can be classified as follows:

• Technical or necessary: used to remember the consent preference and provide basic navigation functions.
• Functional preferences: used to remember for a while that the user has closed an informational notice.
• External services: used to display external content, such as maps, directions or the virtual tour. Automatic map loading depends on the external services preference or an explicit user action.
• Analytics: no first-party or third-party analytics tools are currently loaded from this site.
• Advertising or marketing: no advertising pixels or remarketing platforms are currently loaded from this site.

Third-party services are outside the direct control of Mediterráneo Suites. Their providers may modify their terms, purposes and technologies used.

External providers identified on this site:

• Google Fonts: Google Privacy Policy.
• Google Maps / Street View: Google Privacy Policy and Google Cookie Policy.

When accessing the site, users can accept, reject or configure their preferences from the cookie banner. Preferences can later be changed from the cookie settings link in the footer.

Strictly necessary technologies cannot be disabled from the panel because they are needed to remember the user's choice and provide basic site functions.

If the user rejects external services, maps are not loaded automatically. The user can still load them through the button shown in the map block, as an express request for that functionality.

If analytics or advertising tools are added in the future, they will be loaded according to the corresponding consent preference and this policy will be updated where appropriate.

Users can allow, block or delete cookies and website data from their browser settings. Deleting browser data may also delete preferences stored in ms-cookie-consent and ms-booking-popup-dismissed-at, so the banner or notice may be shown again.
